A celebration of the equinox, stolen by christians, used by them to celebrate the tortured death of their demi-god! Good fun.

So Easter means nothing to you? The crucifixion and resurrection?

Well it's not Biblical, as such, as you will know. Instead it's a manifestation of corporate Christianity. This didn't bother me in the slightest when I was a Christian (nor does it bother me now either ~ I went to church 4 times between Thursday and Sunday last week), but there are plenty of Christians around the world who don't need what they see as the contrivance of Easter (etc.) in order to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus.

It matters to most FMF.

Your Christian days would have taught you that.

Really?

Easter, the cornerstone of Christianity, the fact that the Son of God came to earth and was rejected so much that he was put to death, yet overcame death and was resurrected so that we might have life.

This means nothing to you?

I dunno, maybe it is the sheer emotion involved. I find the entire thing to be a story so moving, so sacrificial, so redemptive... it's easily the most moving part of the Bible for me.

Maybe that's it, then. Can't ever show that caring side, eh? Not even when we're talking about the entire reason the religion still exists today. Supposedly your religion. One might be excused for thinking you might care about it, even if just a little.

Well, what my Christian days taught me was that it mattered to me. What does it matter to you if it matters to most ~ but not all ~ Christians?
