@kellyjay saidIn so far as life is a quest, I seek the opportunity to learn and to teach, and to love and be loved. "Happiness or Truth" is a false dilemma, KellyJay.
Are we on a happiness quest or a truth quest?
Would we want to know the truth if it wasn't what we think it should be?
If I'm content the way I am, and truth would be upsetting, would I prefer being ignorant?

@fmf saidHappiness and truth as long as what makes you happy is the truth; if not, it is a dilemma.

@kellyjay saidMy "quest" is to learn and to teach and to love and be loved. It is not "happiness" every single step of the way. But where is the "dilemma" in that? If you think there is some lack of "truth" - according to your beliefs - in how I go about my "quest", then what of it? You are entitled to your opinion.
Happiness and truth as long as what makes you happy is the truth; if not, it is a dilemma.
Give me an example of a "truth" that could affect or negate the "happiness" I derive from my "quest".
@kellyjay saidYou are entitled to think what you want about my personal life ~ as you know, that is all I am talking about. So, come one then. Give me an example of a "truth" that could affect or negate the "happiness" I derive from the "quest" of mine that I have described.
Simply suggesting it is more complex than you presented it.
-Removed-With you and FMF, I have noticed that you don't just read what is written; you have in inject what wasn't brought up, and you do that to make the speaker the topic. I've not pushed anything religious in this thread; you have; Hell was brought up, the Bible was brought up, not by me.
Getting back to the topic, searching for truth and or happiness doesn't have to be two different quests if the truth makes you happy. Do you think truth matters if all you want is to be happy?
