Why? Is it because you accept that life is inevitable given certain starting conditions, or you simply cant believe an intelligent designer would make a billion billion planets and only put life on one?
An intelligent designer will ensure that conditions are right for life to start ?
Anyway I do not believe in a God that will create life here and rest thereafter, or was resting before for that matter. Life was being created all over the universe for millions of years.
