The leaders of the Judaism of that day Jesus said were serpents and poisoness vipers spiritually.
"Serpents! Brood of vipers! How shall you escape the judgment of Gehenna?" (v.53)
Except for God's great mercy, they are destined to damnation.
Thankfully TO God's mercy many of them repented and were saved after the death and resurrection of Christ as we see in the book of Acts.
But many remained steadfastly opposed to the Christian church - the believers, Jews and Gentiles, who believed the Son of God.

The Judaism under these leaders was infiltrated with Satan.

Therefore, behold, I send to you prophets and wise men and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city." (v.24)
Jesus Christ is saying that in the future after His resurrection He will send to them New Testament servants of God. Because Satan has so controlled the leaders of Judaism they will kill, persecute, scourge, and crucify them.
That is what Jesus said in Matthew 23:34.
One such persecutor was Saul of Tarsus. He became the writer of 13 of the 27 books of the New Testament. Praise the Lord for His mercy!
The Judaism under these vipers had become controlled by Satan. And Jesus said all the blood shed of the prophets of God would be accountable to this hypocritical generation of religious leaders.
So that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zachariah, son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
Truly I say to you. All these things shall come upon this generation." (vs.35,36)
The Bible says that Cain who killed Abel his brother, was of the Devil.
"Not as Cain was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his works were evil, and his brother's righteous." (1 John 3:12)
Jesus is saying that from Cain, under the control of the Devil through all the Old Testament history to the last book of the Jewish canon, these leaders were the same - guilty of persecuting and murdering God's righteous servants out of jealousy.
Witness Lee's faithful word on how ISMs became Satanic warns that even in the Christian religion the same kind of corruption is not impossible to occur.
So in love Lee warns of the danger of being carried far away from God by a Satan control worldly apostasy of a religion, and that even with the things of God in its root system.

Of course, there is no reason to want to "curse" the Jewish people, and anyone who uses violence and plots genocide or hatred towards any people is already cursed by their own actions and deeds. But it is an interesting question as to whether or not God would have in his heart a very special place for the Jewish people today. But I think the general answer is no -- the people who are God's people are the one's who accept the Messiah, not the one's who reject the Messiah, and it does not matter Jew or gentile.

My Answer : Wrong. The old covenant HAS BEEN REPLACED by the New Covenant in which the Jews still remain in a preeminent position compared with the Gentiles. They still remain Gods people. The Gentiles have now been grafted in and those Gentiles who please God are spiritual Jews.

My Answer : The answer is Yes. The Messiah returns to Israel. Jerusalem will be the capital of the world from which Jesus will reign for the 1000 yrs. The prophesies all are centered around Israel and the Jews. God will made a new covenant with the Jews. Read it.

This very passage from the exact chapter that you quoted talks about the covenant with the Jews is obsolete and will disappear. The Old Covenant with the nation of Israel is gone.
The Jews rejected Jesus Christ, did they not?
The new people of God are the Christian people -- Christians of every nation.
Why do ethnic Jewish people who reject God get to have a special place before God now, and why are they so instrumental in the final days? Some Christians even make it sound like the Jews are above them and are their spiritual elders, when these are the people who consciously deny that God came to earth and consciously reject the Son.
How can the Jews who reject the Son enter the Kingdom of God?
Muslims are closer to us in this regard than Jews.
