@kellyjay saidI don't think objective facts can contradict each other [maybe someone will come and contradict me on that!] but people's subjective claims about what is "true" ~ with regard to things and ideas which do not fall within the realm of objectivity ~ these can, of course, contradict each other and do so all the time, I think.
Can one truth contradict another truth, or does that mean one, the other, or neither is actually true? Can truth be contradictive?
@kellyjay saidTruth never contradicts, it only seems to when other information is lacking.

Ancient man thought the universe revolved around the earth because objects appeared to move across the sky. The fact of a revolving earth appears to contradict early man's "truth" but only because they lacked information.
@kellyjay saidJMHO - One truth can indeed contradict another truth. One fact however cannot contradict another fact.

@mchill saidOne opinion may contradict another, but the truth will never do that. Our facts are not as factual as we think they are from time to time.

@fmf saidEven if we agree with an objective fact, we are still doing so subjectively.

@kellyjay saidWe are talking to each other about our personal opinions, KellyJay, and I am speaking to the topic. I asked you to give an example illustrating what you meant when you referred to "we" twice in a post I was replying to. It is you who is now trying to run away from my response by framing it as "something personal".
(And so do I), again, you cannot just speak to a topic without turning it into something personal.
