defence is morally wrong.
Also, assuming that they do have people who know and love them (which is a reasonable assumption,
and can't be ignored unless you have comprehensive proof to the contrary) who would in the normal
course of events be deeply upset by their sudden non-existence. Making it so that these people don't
experience any anguish would involve such a radical alteration to these people that you would have to
question if the people they were before this alteration still existed.
And it would in fact not be unreasonable to claim that pushing this button would also cause the cessation
of existence of everyone and anyone who would be upset by their termination.
I would consider that any world in which the sudden cessation of existence of a sentient being has no negative
consequences at all to be deeply and irredeemably evil.
Particularly as in this case it is simply for the 'crime' of being idiotic on the internet. If all who committed this
'crime' were treated similarly then the population would be drastically reduced.
I do appreciate that this is intended as a joke. I just don't see it as being funny.

It (along with perhaps alerts by others) was successful in taking down the thread he initiated.

I believe he is again headed in the same direction. In general, he seems to be advocating a patriarchal, non-democratic priestocracy that freely commits genocide against a specific named people.
The button I tend NOT to push more than once, is the one that opens such threads.

I'm talking about a magic button that causes their existance never to happen.
And yes it was a tongue-in-cheek "joke".
I was thinking about an old movie I saw years ago (a comedy) where the defence lawyer was trying to get a man off murdering his wife. He presented the (all male) jury with a hyothetical button in front of them that would make their nagging wives disappear ...
Of courseI find this mysoginistic image deeply offensive ...
