Is this a modern take on the old biblical message? But instead of the Hebrews being a bunch of commandment breaking subordinates, it's now the Americans?

Indeed. Its a lack of exposure that the average American suffers from that makes them ignorant of life in the rest of the world. Most dont travel to other countries so they dont have a clue. Not sure what the figure is now but about 20 years ago I think less than 10% of Americans had a passport. That tells a lot.

No. He is punishing humanity for the sins of Adam and Eve. He 'cursed' the earth which basically means random bouts of punishment get meted out every now and then (with a noticeable bias towards the poor).
Certainly the recent US storms have been relatively mild compared to the deaths caused by weather or other natural disasters this year throughout the globe.
I also have to say that Tornados in the Eastern states are a more or less permanent risk you have to live with just as the Western states have earth quakes.

Well, ok, but how many Europeans have been outside Europe?
Originally posted by shavixmir Quite a few I would imagine.
But it's not really the same.
If I drive 1 hour I'm in a country with a different language, culture, housing, food, etc.
In the US folk just travel between trailer parks.
Just across our southern border into Mexico the people speak Spanish and across our Northern Border into Canada there is an area where they speak French.

Are the Bangladeshis "a bunch of commandment breaking subordinates", then, in your opinion? It appears that's what you're saying, since that's exactly what we were talking about when you felt you had to barge in and insult me.

Try actually reading the thread and the posts therein before jumping on the "hate Americans" bandwagon.

Surely we can only hope!
Speaking of God's punishment, how is Eurabia these days Shav?

Most working Brits have been out of Europe.
Especially if you count the Canaries and Cyprus.
Turkey and Egypt very popular cheap holidays.
USA is popular.
Thailand and Far East is popular for big holidays (honeymoons etc)
I'd imagine the same is roughly true for rest of Northern Europe.
