I can't remember the details but the family can have some (limited by guidelines) influence on what appears on the miltary issue tombstone.

I fail to see where the humor lies.

Your avatar is not a symbol for atheism. It is the logo of American Atheists, a subset of atheists as a whole.

What percentage of atheists choose to be buried? I would think most prefer cremation.

Just because scripture talks about all the nations of the earth coming against Israel for a final battle in the end of days in no way means there is a correlation. However, the very possibility of a prophesy written thousands of years ago about such event occuring is in itself miraculous even though you may think it silly.
