You can be wrong about the someone's favorite color, but life and death mistakes
are just that, life and death mistakes, so it can be wrong to be mistaken by claiming
the knowledge you don't have.
Nothing about your superstitious beliefs represents a "gun", loaded or otherwise, in anyone's hands, least of all mine.

Narcissism much?

I was speaking about nothingness; if everything alive goes there
after death, there is no difference between a human and a cockroach when they
reach nothing.
I still celebrate the lives of my forefathers, especially the ones I knew personally. How does your dehumanizing "cockroach" debating point process that?

People, like me, are often accused of being cowards for admitting that they don't the origin of the universe and also of being a coward for not coming up with an explanation to compete with religious narratives.

Can people insisting that they "know" things that ~ in fact, they do not know ~ be detrimental or hampering in any way to one's spiritual self and to one's interactions with others on spiritual questions?
"Mistakenly."

By whose metric? Yours?

Yes. The OP and the thread title is my personal opinion.

I would say that to a large extent you seem to be unlike a cat.

I don’t care what you think about anything or anyone here, I was not addressing that. What you seemed to have missed several times now is if all life turns into nothing then there is no difference at that point; moreover, neither would it matter how you lived if nothing is coming once you ended up there!

Don't run away, KellyJay.

You said this: "I was speaking about nothingness; if everything alive goes there after death, there is no difference between a human and a cockroach when they reach nothing."

I answered thusly: "I still celebrate the lives of my forefathers, especially the ones I knew personally. How does your dehumanizing "cockroach" debating point process that?"

Totally on-topic.

Don't be so disingenuous.

You are running away from your own dehumanizing cockroaches v human beings 'debating point!

If believing you are immortal affords you some consolation in life and helps you to distinguish between cockroaches and human beings, so be it.

Deduction:

KellyJay is afraid of dying without his religious beliefs because, without those beliefs, he would not be able to differentiate between his life and that of a cockroach.

Have I got that right?

Yeah, I do believe everything in this life matters because this life is not all that there is. Because of that the importance of everything done and said carries eternal consequences, instead of oblivion.
