excuse me, but didn't you hear of the concept supposedly held
in high regard in SOME branches of the US government, called
'separation of church and state'? By allowing ANY mention of
ID, creationism or any of that you are clearly crossing the line into
foisting a state religion on people. ID never will have a place in a
truly open minded science c ...[text shortened]... erely the latest of a series of
attempts to foist religion on malleable people in high school.
How many time must I state that I do NOT support ID in science class? Seriously, how many times people!?! In this thread I have specifically spelled out in no uncertain terms that ID IS NOT SCIENCE AND SHOULD NOT BE TAUGHT IN A SCIENCE CLASS.

As to the rest of your absurd assertions in your post, I have already addressed these points. Then again, it is painfully obvious that you couldn't be bothered to actually read what I have been writing in this thread so you wouldn't know that.

Of course, just like Jehovah witness dudes used to cram their foot
in the door when you opened it a crack when they came calling.
They learned that trick from door to door salesmen.
So it goes with ID'ers. Get their foot stuck in the door, maybe they
can strike down the whole establishment of science and get back to
the true belief, fundamentalists forever.....
Once more, I highly encourage you to read something...ANYTHING....I have written in this thread.

Your statement stereotypes a vast number of people, and is fallacious by nature. As much as this post incenses me, I will refrain from contention to the converse as I believe any individual of intelligence can see it for what it is. Proselytizing the purported villiany of IDers; High in propaganda, low in basis.

Both your posts get recs. As I've pointed out elsewhere on this forum, believers are not the only people who display bigotry on matters related to religion.

The separation of Church and State does not mean that kids should be ignorant of religion. An understanding of various religions, their tenets, their history (as unbiased and accurate as possible) is important for citizens today and in the future who will be living in a global, multicultural environment. This would, IMO, be ideal forum for teaching kids about ID and the arguments that go back and forth over it.

Congressman Santos handled this question beautifully last night on West Wing. I agree with everything he said.
