Interesting.
On Christmas I meditate on what Marx and Darwin had to say regarding the virtues of atheism.
Naturally, I don't believe either.
Atheists really should have a holiday to celebrate skepticism and cynicism and eventual mortal death for all eternity. 😛

I believe that, if there is a creator god or gods, then it, he, she, they haven't communicated with humans. By which I mean not just Christianity but all the other religions I have encountered or examined, as well. So, I suppose that's more or less an agnostic stance.

If you believe there is some sort of god then you are a theist.
If you think there isn't then you are an atheist.
If you can't decide what you believe then you are an agnostic.
What others believe means nothing. Claiming that it does makes you a self righteous blow hard.
Originally posted by @eladarYour claims about a god figure that has issued instructions and convoluted, magical promises about rewards and punishments strike me as nonsense. I think a non-believer taking this stance on a Spirituality debate and discussion forum is neither a "blow hard" nor "self-righteous". If I were saying to you that you should either agree with me or you else you are as evil as evil can be and you will be tortured for your incorrect beliefs, then that would perhaps be an example of being a a "blow hard" nor "self-righteous".

Originally posted by @dj2beckerWell, if the root of what you're saying to me is that you subscribe to Christian beliefs, and I don't, and you're sure what you believe about your god figure is true [and you have difficulty comprehending how someone does not see it the same way as you], then I accept all these things
And yet you wouldn’t know what credible information from God would look like if it bit you on the ass.
