What does that have to do with what I said about the Islamic Govt wanting to get rid of English and Christianity?

Youre a mental case.
You should either be locked up or sent to fight the Jews in Gaza. ... 😀
No Islamic government has anything against English. Most of them are far more progressive than you say they are (the exceptions being the Peninsular states, which are the states that we support economically 'cause they've got oil). As for Christianity ... how do you explain major Christian populations in North Africa, the Central Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia then?

I cite most of North Africa and South and Southeast Asia, as well as Jordan, as proofs that such societies do no such thing.
The blasphemy law in Pakistan is found in several sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including Section 295 B and C and 298 A, B, and C. It imposes a variety of penalties for different forms of blasphemy, including the death penalty for anyone found to have "by words or visible representation or by an imputation or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiled the name of the Muhammad of Islam". Similarly anyone blamed as a blasphemer against the Koran would be awarded life imprisonment under section 295/C.

Among Muslim-majority countries, Pakistan has very strict anti-blasphemy law. In 1982, President Zia ul-Haq introduced Section 295B to the Pakistan Penal Code punishing "defiling the Holy Qur'an" with life imprisonment. In 1986, Section 295C was introduced, mandating the death penalty for "use of derogatory remarks in respect of the Holy Prophet".

In 1990 the Federal Shari’ah Court ruled that the penalty should be a mandatory death sentence, with no right to a reprieve or pardon. This is binding, but the government is yet to formally amend the law, which means that the provision for a life sentence still formally exists, and is used by the government as a concession to critics of the death penalty. In 2004, the Pakistani parliament approved a law to reduce the scope of the blasphemy laws. The amendment to the law means that police officials will have to investigate accusations of blasphemy to ensure that they are well founded, before presenting criminal charges.

However, the law is sometimes used against political adversaries or personal enemies, or by Muslim fundamentalists against religious minorities, or for personal revenge. Ahmadi-muslims are especially victimized by the blasphemy-law. They claim to be muslims themselves, but under the blasphemy-law, they are not allowed to use islamic vocabulary or rituals.

The Pakistani Catholic bishops' Justice and Peace Commission complained in July 2005 that since 1988, some 650 people had been falsely accused and arrested under the blasphemy law. Moreover, over the same period, some 20 people accused of the same offense had been killed. As of July 2005, 80 Christians were in prison after being accused of blasphemy.

Pakistan's blasphemy laws allow the word of just one witness to incriminate a "heretic".

Pakistan, Islamic socialist republic representative of a fair and progressive society?

All, right, that still leaves Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, West Sahara, Egypt, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Mali, most of North-Central Africa, Jordan, Bangladesh, and all of Southeast Asia and Indonesia.

why don't we mention Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Somalia, Indonesia, Bangladesh and a whole host of other predominately Muslim ruled nations that have an atrocious record of even the most basic and fundamental of human rights, and please note you're complete lack of any type of defense for the Islamic republic of Pakistan is noteworthy and i find it incredulous that you even attempt to include Egypt, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Bangladesh and even Algeria in your list, are you seriously trying to tell the forum that these are indicative of a fair and free egalitarian society?

In Somalia, Ahlu Sunna is fighting Al Shabaab -- peaceful Sufis, driven to fight Salafi thugs seeking to impose their own vicious brand of Sharia law -- the kind that approves of killing girls. So you have civilised men and barbarians clashing within a failed state.

Islam cannot be seen to be, nor ever has been open to criticism, it was born in violence and will continue to foment violence until Muslims realize that the 'prophet' they hold so dear was a rather colorful fellow indeed! why is it so hard for them to admit this?

We've been more progressive than you Christians as a whole since our creation. You only hear about the extremely conservative Muslims, but there are over a billion of us. You're going to have to learn about us and learn to live with us.
