Are so blatantly disregarded by the most faithful of Christians in the US, yet the non-religious types (the hippies and the socialists) do seem to follow what the bible says.

They die true when one is killed or murdered, but murder is not the
same thing as just killing. The words carry different meanings they
are not the same thing.
Do we need to look at the original texts of the Bible and ignore the modern translations? If so, there are a lot of things that need to change... For example, many of the Bible references that are against "homosexuals" utilize a word that referred specifically to male prostitutes used in religious ceremonies.
