That's a fact, the neo-con capitalist greedy warmongering religious-right of America are not true Christians, they betray the faith...
Who are 'true Christians' in your opinion? I guess we know who you
think are not.

Yes. It has always amused me that so many things in the bible like

- thou shallt not kill and
- turn the other cheek

Are so blatantly disregarded by the most faithful of Christians in the US, yet the non-religious types (the hippies and the socialists) do seem to follow what the bible says.

How bloody ironic is that?
Have you met the most faithful of Christians in the US to make such
a claim, or are you just letting your assumptions run down people
you have no idea what they are like in real life?

Indeed, such irony, and besides, Jesus could be considered a tree hugger too, somewhere he says he loves "all living things", and BTW, trees are alive, so you are a heathen...
Where did he say that?

They die true when one is killed or murdered, but murder is not the
same thing as just killing. The words carry different meanings they
are not the same thing.

Indeed, they mean different things. But the word that ended up in the English translation is "kill." Why is that?
Do we need to look at the original texts of the Bible and ignore the modern translations? If so, there are a lot of things that need to change... For example, many of the Bible references that are against "homosexuals" utilize a word that referred specifically to male prostitutes used in religious ceremonies.

Murdering somebody in cold blood can be considered different to killing somebody in self-defence.
