The prosperity gospel is grotesque. The filthy-rich televangelists et al got tired of being scrutinized for riding around on yachts and in butler-driven Rolls Royces. So they gave rise to a new gospel. That being if you're wealthy, then it must mean God favors you. So obviously the super wealthy preachers are the ones God loves the most; the ones you should follow and tithe to. 😞

Strange attitude they have when you consider Jesus was homeless, poor in material wealth and constantly serving others. And when He wasn’t serving others, He was praying and enjoying fellowship with His disciples.

No more strange than atheists doing the devil's work, weaving deception and trying to ensnare others and stir up strife and hostility. The prosperity gospel preachers are doing pretty much what one would expect once the money and power starts rolling in.

Who do you think is "doing the devil's work" more, Jesse Duplantis or - say - Richard Dawkins?

But the prosperity gospel preachers turn people against God by equating material wealth, health and happiness with God being pleased with you. And when people try to please God and don’t achieve material wealth, health and happiness, they think God is being unjust and unfair or is mad at them.

This propagating notion of atheists being motivated by deception and hostility is itself deceptive and hostile. Atheists simply don't believe in the 'Thing' you do. (Capital T out of politeness). We are also more than entitled to defend our position, especially as it is the position that holds all the evidence. 😉

The atheist position holds no evidence.
The evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is overwhelming. But you have to actually look at the evidence, and because most online atheists have closed minds and closed hearts and their ego won’t permit them to think they may be wrong, looking at the evidence is the last thing in the world they want to do.
Spending countless hours trolling? Ok by the online atheist. Spending 30 minutes to read a 30,000-foot view of *some* of the evidence for Christ’s Resurrection? Nah, the online atheist thinks that’s a waste of time.
