    for someone to publicly claim to be an atheist is not fashionable.

    Oddly enough the only person suggesting that atheism is not fashionable was you when you posted "You do know that atheism is sooooo 5 years ago, right?" So why would someone commenting in opposition to your post, and so presumably implying that atheism is not at all soooo 5 years ago, and perhaps even thinking atheism has some current status, feel under an obligation to prove you right by composing the essay suggested by you, in which you place the word not in bold to avoid anyone misunderstanding and perhaps thinking you made any sense whatever, which you do not?

    When someone leaves Christianity the assumption is that you become an atheist by default. They say its cool to be an atheist, everybody’s doing it! There’s even a celebrity atheist website for those that can’t think for themselves. Peer pressure & marketing maybe enough to persuade them, but I would prefer a rational explanation rather than a “popular” one. People are inquisitive and frequently ask me why I have rejected atheism.

    In historiography, historical revisionism is the reinterpretation of orthodox views on evidence, motivations, and decision-making processes surrounding a historical event. Though the word revisionism is sometimes used in a negative way, constant revision of history is part of the normal scholarly process of writing history.
