A person with faith. What you seem not to understand is that
Abraham had come to believe God. God promised and delivered
his son in his old age and Abraham believed God would bring
his son back to life in the event he did have to sacrifice his only son.
God later proved that He could by sacrificing His own son and
bringing Him back to life. That Son, of course, was Jesus.

you may justify such actions in your head, but it won't change the fact that only a demented person would obey such a command.

You must be demented to find Christianity rational. You have to be half off your rocker to buy into the insanity.

Would you think it insane if a man gave his money to a robber, who was
pointing a gun at him and demanding his money or his life? What would
you do if you were that man?

Are you comparing God to a robber with a gun ? The gun could be the punishment of Hell ? I love a good gun to the head type of religion. See it my way or I'll pull the trigger. Sounds like pure Love to me.
