I agree, loved the book will be seeing the movie on my next days off Lord
    willing.

That phrase, Lord Willing, always gets me. I hear that so much from Muslims.
It is so arrogant, thinking some god is going to be SO interested in some individual's life they would or would not Will them to do or not do some act or other.

That is the central arrogance of mankind, I think, that a god would be find much interesting in mere humans. Like we might look at an ant colony in a jar and the intelligent ones in the colony start worshiping what it thinks is his god.

As if we as the owners of said ant colony would look at one ant over the other and say I LOVE that ant, NOTHING will ever hurt that one. On the other hand, that ghastly FEMALE ant over there, it is worthless in my book, nasty female.....

BTW Kelly, this is no attack on you personally, just my observations of what passes for religion these days.

I didn't take it as an attack on me we are good.
To address your point; however, scripture teaches us in James, basically it is
just keeping our mouths in check from saying things that may or may not be
    true in the future.

    Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
    James 4:13-17

13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such-and-such a city, stay there a year trading and make a profit”! 14 You don’t even know if you will be alive tomorrow! For all you are is a mist that appears for a little while and then disappears. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If Adonai wants it to happen, we will live” to do this or that. 16 But as it is, in your arrogance you boast. All such boasting is evil. 17 So then, anyone who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it is committing a sin.
