@ogb saidNot an exact quote, I believe CS Lewis, said I believe in God like I do the sun because by it I see everything else.
hi..how come it's always about light ? That's all you hear...I saw the white light, I felt a light, I followed the light, etc, etc, etc.
When you are walking in the darkness only with light can you see.
@divegeester saidthe Bible says to follow the Truth ! which is what I do....and you were off topic !!
Each to their own; you follow conspiracy theories other people follow the light.
@sonship saidI've not had a near-death experience, nor a vision of any strange lights, but of course I have the same sorts of biases that most people have, e.g. confirmation bias, false pattern recognition, etc.
@BigDoggWe see what we expect to see.
That applies to you also then ?
You see what you expect to see and tell us all about it ?
I would say that I put more effort into correcting for my own biases than most people, but that could be just another bias talking. π

@divegeester saidJesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. -- John 14:6, KJV

@ogb saidOur language is full of visual metaphors for understanding. See? It’s just a coincidence, a pun, not intrinsically significant.

Let those with ears hear.
Personally, I want to come into contact with the truth, feel it, find out its texture and consistency, not only ‘see’ it.
