@Arkturos saidThere is nothing personal about this; we are either right or wrong, and the ramifications of our choices are no different in reality. Deadly choices lead to deadly consequences. People tend to view their biases as truth, and when confronted with evidence that contradicts them, even if it’s overwhelming, they can cling to a thimble of doubt. If they prefer, they will choose what they want to be true over the truth itself. That is true for me and everyone else, so the one we have to guard against being deceived is ourselves above all others.
I think that's a good way to end this discussion.
@Arkturos saidIt isn’t a Christian context alone that acknowledges truth, unless we believe truth can be contradictory; true things do not do that. Hence, if we say there is scientific truth, Christian truth, Atheist truth, and so on, that is as flawed as saying these white ones and these black ones are different species apart from one another.
RE the first paragraph: I do not disagree.
RE "At the foot of the cross of Christ, we are all one people, all the distinctions are gone, no one can select us out apart from Him."
Well, I get what you mean by that in a Christian context, but you and I don't believe the same things; and I would say that Christ doesn't even need to be brought into the discussion for me to ...[text shortened]... d conceptions, and some people in politics do seem to take advantage of that for their own purposes.
Our imaginations make these distinctions, not reality. What is true will be true if we find it in our faith in science or religious faith. The truth is not divided up, so it can only be seen in one worldview, not another. If it’s true, everything, regardless of how we found it, will confirm it in reality.
@KellyJay saidAre you referring to those whom voted for, follow, and worship Humpty Trumpty and his anti-Christ teachings over the teachings of Christ A.K.A. God?

@KingDavid403 saidTake your hate-mongering, bearing false witness, blasphemous rhetoric elsewhere; you falsely accuse millions due to your hate of hearsay. Not because you have seen the worship of Christians turning to Trump over Jesus Christ! How ugly and low can you go when you claim to know who Jesus is, and you give that type of testimony to His followers due to your political views?

@KellyJay saidJust as I thought. 🙂

@KingDavid403 saidYou will give an account of the things you falsely accuse others of; see you on the day of judgment, what you do the least of His you do to Him.
Just as I thought. 🙂
@KingDavid403 saidI can point to what you have said about others, please point to a lie I have said. Please point to my worship of Trump and not Jesus Christ.
Ditto trumptarded liar; Ditto! 🙂
@KellyJay saidYeah, it can be a fine line between knowing when to rebuke and when to turn the other cheek.

@Arkturos saidWe are to tell others when they do us wrong, after that it’s on them and the Lord. That gives them the chance to reconcile before they go to the Lord when they have wronged another believer, because He looks down on things like that, especially when false witness is involved.

@KellyJay saidWhat if I were to tell you that there is no "Lord"?

@Arkturos saidReality does not change due to our opinions, which is why examining opinions and seeking what reality is to compare them to is so important. Telling me there is no Lord and me saying there is can only mean you or I am right simply having an opinion does not make a case.

@KellyJay saidIt seems we might agree, but in different ways. 😉
