So about 10 years ago I read the bible a couple times and the Koran a couple times just for an information standpoint and correctly if I am wrong but in the old testament it says that their is only one god and their will be those who come later saying they are god.
And wouldn’t ya know it...here comes the new testament with the test!
I am referring to those who actually say jesus IS god and not to those who say jesus was a teacher.
So maybe jesus is a test?
To see if people fall for it?
@pachman saidWhat do you make of all the Gods that came many thousands of years before the Christian God?

I have Dupuytren’s Contracture also know as Viking Disease.
A long time ago my Northern Europe Grandpa (Germanic) invaded the soon to be called Scotland and probably by force got my Scottish Grandma pregnant.
So I am partial to Odin and the gang.
It helps that I am big and strong and drink like a fish too 🤗
@pachman saidBeing the Way, the Truth, and Life I would say failure to knowing Jesus is the one failure we should avoid at all costs

Testimony of a Jewish man that became a believer.
@rbhill saidIf Pacman's theory is right, then the Jew's rejection of Jesus as a fake and imposter would mean they passed 'the test'. According to the Muslims, both the Jews and the Christians are mistaken. The Jews rejected Jesus outright and did not see him as one of the Abrahamic God's prophets, while the Christians made the mistake of not realizing he was only a prophet and of thinking he was the Abrahamic God walking on the earth, which is a preposterous idea to Muslims, in part because of Exodus 33:20.

@pachman saidJesus is the test that he asks every human being that comes into the world. Who do you say I am?

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Notice that one of the disciples said he was just a mere prophet, just like the countless before him? Wrong answer.
No, only Peter got it right. He was the Son of God, which Jesus commanded them not to tell a soul. Now why do you suppose that is? It was because they would have hunted him down that night to take him to the cross for blasphemy. Really, it's the only answer.

Once Peter knew who He was really, it was at that point He started sharing about going to the cross.
