In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

And Hebrews 1:1-2
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds

My point is that Jesus (Yahshua) was also the Word that was with God in the beginning as spoken of in John 1 and Genesis 1. The same Word through which God made the heavens and the earth. The One that SAID let US make man in OUR image.

So what are you trying to say? That Jesus pre-existed?
Those Jews then understood that Jesus was claiming to be the messenger of God that appeared to Moses from the burning bush in Exodus 3 and told Moses that He was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and provided the name "I AM" (Yah) as the name of God to Moses.
