The said hormone influx is determined by the Y chromosome, ergo male or female -- it is still determined genetically. I could just as well argue that it becomes female due to the absence of testosterone.
I can say, for example, that all people are basically all the same, with a simple mechanism that differentiates the sexes. That would be consistant with evolutionary theory since we're all the same species after all. God didn't have to do it that way. So why did he?
