I wonder though just how credible this story is. Don't get me wrong, God can raise the dead, but I'm always hearing about these kinds of things. I've never seen a miracle. And we are to walk by faith and not by sight.

I'm not a doubting Tomas. I didn't see Jesus rise from the dead, but I know it's true. I know it's true that Jesus raised people from the dead.
I don't believe God is working that way today.

When I hear people say that God spoke to them, it usually doesn't match the Biblical narrative.
God is done speaking. The word of God is complete. God doesn't need to say any more.
Everything we need to hear from God is in His word. At least in this life.

"God is speaking through His word" , "God is done speaking" ... so you finally admit that the universe is a paradox, eh?
I believe Nietchze said that God was dead. He was referring to the christian god. And he was right. You guys are just in the death throws of a dying, backward and untimatley incorrect idea of God.
I like tacos christianity way better than yours...

Cute saying.
Remember what Jesus said in Revelation? If any man add to or take away from the words of this book.
God has said all He needs to say. The canon of scripture is closed. There are no new revelations coming from God.

And you have completely misunderstood what I'm saying.
Man are you going to be surprised!

NEWS FLASH!! you are not the spokeperson for God, for if you were, you would never put limitations on a limitless universe.
Nothing is wrapped up in a nice, neat package the way some of you christians like to make out. If it were then we would all be christians ... or hindus. But we are not, and never shall be . We are what we are and I say it is beautiful.
"There are no new revelations from God" .(I presume you mean the christian one.) Well thank god for that!! I presume that you will stop posting, brush your teeth, comb your hair and await Jesus on your front lawn since there is nothing else coming from God (except Jesus coming back).

Now do you think you could tell me why I dont know what I'm talking about (and engage in a real conversation), or do you want to keep pontificating while I read and nod in agreement? Is that what you really want?
You encapsulate all that is limited with your "spiritual" views. Its black and white for you. Let me know how that works out, thnx😉
edit:evidently I have misunderstood you, not "completely", but somewhat. I dont suppose you are going to tell me what I have completely misunderstood?

C'mon man...you say stuff and then you cant back it up so you go off at a tangent. Very neat.

All you've done is rant.
