Erm... I hate to scupper the atheists side but I really don't think that's a reason to lump me in with the Christians.

Why are you sure a perfect game isn't a win? The game is asymmetric in who goes first. (I know you are joking.) But presumably we will be able to amass at least, lots of evidence in the matter, in the sweet bye and bye.

But Satan's final trick will be to leave it a lingering, vexing question.

PS, It's almost a Koan that you speak.

An interesting alternative option might be to elect Penguin (p 1096) and Suzianne (1076) as Team Captains alternating team member picks: Operative Rationale could be 'the last [Team Omega] shall be first and the first [Team Alpha] shall be last'.

I agree; nobody knows if perfect play is a win for white or black or a draw.
(I said as much in the Chess forum recently)

But this is the Spirituality Forum where everyone can speak nonsense!
😉

When will engines "solve" chess, I wonder?

At least there won't be any need for be Chess Clocks or Timebanks, Timeouts or Skulls at the Paradise Chess Club.

Now I repeat the last relevant comment on this thread.

Well, I still find no belief in deity when I introspect. However I am a believer in indirect doxastic voluntarism.

Has none of you the slightest curiosity?

"... indirect doxastic voluntarism." Still trying to parse the meaning of the phrase without an online search. Hint?

It's all about this claim of rejecting belief.

Hint: Do the search.

All twelve of our names were written in the Lamb's Book of Life at physical birth and are still written there; and all of us will be together with God sharing His Happiness in Heaven for Eternity, unless any one of us dies without having believed in the Person of Jesus Christ (the names of those will be removed and no longer remembered in Heaven. Rev. 20:15[/b]
