Well, here's a little song that by the greatest musician of our time and I don't think even Starman will mind if I dedicate it to him.

Part Man, Part Monkey by Bruce Springsteen

They prosecuted some poor sucker in these United States
For teaching that man descended from the apes
They coulda settled that case without a fuss or fight
If they'd seen me chasin' you , suger, through the jungle last night
They'da called in that jury and a one two three said
    Part man, part monkey, definitely

Well the church bell rings from the corner steeple
Man in a minkey suit swears he'll do no evil
Offers his lover's prayer but his soul lies
    Dark and driftin and unsatisfied
Well hey bartender, tell me whaddaya see
Part man, part monkey , looks like to me

Well the night is dark, the moon is full
The flowers of romance exert their pull
We talk awhile, my fingers slip
I'm hard and crackin like a whip

Well did God make man in a breath of holy fire
Or did he crawl on up out of the muck and mire
Well the man on the street believes wha tthe bible tells him so
Well you can ask me, mister, because I know
Tell them soul-suckin preachers to come on down and see
Part man, part monkey, baby that's me

I love the way that the heart "makes choices".

Has no-one told this guy that the heart is a muscle for pumping blood?

I'll go with the one based in evidence and reality, then. "Magic man did it" carries no weight with me.

How would a man with an artificial heart fit into this model?

The heart and soul are synonymous.

Are you fellas that shallow? Alright, so you don't believe you have a soul. You're just the descendant of an amoeba, or whatever. There's nothing more to you than a pile of dirt. That's all evolution can make you?

It's a pathetic, shallow, unimaginitive lie!

"Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light."

I see. So, would you say that somebody who undergoes a heart transplant necessarily undergoes a soul transplant as a consequence? Does a person who receives a pig's heart also receive the soul of a pig?

    Oink! Oink!

You know what I mean. Why won't you admit it? Could it be that you know I'm right, and admitting it would make you subservient to God?
Is that it? You guys can't stand the idea of a being greater than yourself? Is that why you need evolution? Because it gives you a way out of bowing the knee?

You had better look deep into your soul and at least be honest with yourself.

Would you refuse a heart transplant from a non-Christian?

Sure I would eccept the heart of a non-christian, why not? It's only a muscle.

Well, for one, you'd be giving that sinner's soul an undeserved reprieve from the tortures of hell by bringing it back to the earthly realm.

It's only a muscle? You just said it was the soul.

You can't have it both ways, unless you admit that the soul is only a muscle.

That muscle in your chest is made of flesh.
Your heart is spirit. With it you decide whether you want to live forever or die.

Suppose some non-Christian decides with his heart that he wants to die instead of live forever, and then you receive that heart in a transplant. Will you die?
