"Wide of the mark" is a common turn of phrase. If you don't know what it means, so be it.
I know what it means. However, you are not defining your "mark" in this case. Yes, I know and confess that "Jesus is Lord;" that is all you have. As you said, "you USE to say it also." I also USE to think and act differently with different beliefs. Clearly the same thing that you just said of yourself; you changed.
What caused the change? if you wish to share.

And if you'd come down one way or the other, whatever interpretation you'd chosen, it would have then been an "absolute truth", divinely inspired, right?
There a question?

Like I said, it is a common turn of phrase. I am not interested in your attempt to quibble about it.

Yes it is a question, clearly.

If your response is going to be to merely ask if there was a question, I suppose that'll have to do.

I am not the slightest bit interested in having a conversation with you about it.

Funny that you keep "quibbling" about it. Good day.

It's you, not me, who is pretending not to understand what "Wide of the mark" means in a regular message board conversation

Again, I know what it means. It is you who said that you know almost everything about me because I said "Jesus is Lord." It is you who is "Wide of the Mark" and not me. Then you insist that you know almost everything about me because I said "Jesus is Lord;" then When I tell you you do not know everything about me, you try to tell me that I am wide of the "mark" and that you really do know almost everything about me; even tho we do not know each other. You're interesting, that's for sure...

What is it you are asking? If it is clear to you and your happy with that so be it.

The question in the post you were replying to.

Quote me where I supposedly said I "know almost everything about" you. You are making stuff up.

I've no idea who he is. And I can't be bothered to look it up. Anyway, now you know what "Don't pee on my back and tell me it's raining" means.
He is a mass murderer of muslims.

You saying I "don't have much to go on" was a bit wide of the mark.

I never claimed I "know everything" about you.

I simply told you that you saying "Jesus is Lord" gives me a pretty good idea of what you believe.

This was in response to you saying "you have absolutely no idea what I believe", which was another comment by you that was wide of the mark.
