-Removed-Here are examples from each testament:
“And gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.” (Isaiah 11:12)
"After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth..." (Revelation 7:1)
The above is hardly surprising as all writers of the bible (and their contemporaries) would have been flat Earthers. It does indicate however human, rather than divine, authorship as an omniscient God would have known the shape of the Earth.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI do not believe this commits one to any particular stance regarding a flat or global Earth. The four winds and other references to four directions stem obviously from human body symmetry: left, right, front, and rear. (If we could fly, they would have been six, including up and down).

@moonbus saidThe writers themselves would have believed the Earth was flat. (Hence why we have the devil taking Jesus to a high mountain and being able to show him all the kingdoms of the world. - Impossible with a spherical Earth).

Anyone alive today who believes the Earth is flat will rightly receive a raised eyebrow, but in biblical times everybody who existed would have thought the Earth was flat and viewed the idea of a spherical Earth as crazy.
