im a young man, are you suggesting ive gone grumpy early? my kids would probably agree, point still stands though, prophecies seem to have no purpose, other than keeping dan brown in business.
Originally posted by Suzianne That's the problem with prophecy. Usually no specific time is given because most timelines are driven by what the "prophet" desires to be true.
Exactly. Most (if not all) prophecies are vague and open to interpretation and hence the "prophet" can back out and change the interpretation when the prophecy proves false.
If a prophecy were correct then it would have nothing to do with what the prophet desires to be true - it would only have to do with what is true.
does anyone know why Christ's apostle,
has to be an out of touch grumpy old fossil?
Not in touch with the masses today,
and all his priests are locked away.
Cardinals living in luxury and pomp,
some even guilty of having a romp.
Those not guilty of sexual deviation,
are on the run for misappropriation.
Wickedness and evil alive and well
all in the shadow of a Vatican bell.
Conclave now, Carmalengo writes a letter,
don't think the next guy will do any better.

Interestingly, the reason the Church did not publicly release the details of the Third Secret of Fatima was because it foretold an increasing Apostasy within the Church and that the Church would eventually become infested with demons and a Satanic influence, possibly as high as the Pope himself. This seems to dove-tail in nicely with St. Malachy's "Prophecy of the Popes".
