@ghost-of-a-duke saidI sure hope so, at least, I'm counting on that.
Will there be free food and champagne?
The post that was quoted here has been removedI merely provided some additional details, Duchess.
The First Crusade was partly called for by Emperor Alexandros. Emperor Manuel also allowed the Second Crusade to pass through his territory, though he was quite suspicious. During the Second Crusade, though, this was nothing new. Indeed, the King of Sicily did not participate in the Crusade because he had profound enmity and suspicion of both the Papal States and the French, I believe, and he was in a position where he was also threatening Byzantine holdings.
It was the Fourth Crusade in which the city of Constantinople was sacked.
The First and Fourth Crusades were over a century apart.
I do not know enough about the Crusades. I do not consider my apologist for anyone in a thousand year old conflict. I do not support the sacking of Constantinople (LOL), but I do not know the story at all, either.
I don't know what you want me to say.
There's no basis for saying that I am anti-Muslim or pro-Crusader or anti-Byzantine. This is all just absurd level reading in.
The post that was quoted here has been removedI believe all people are entitled to believe whatever they wish as long as their belief system is not physically intrusive to others . Those who believe that the Quran is to be taken literally and acted upon are the most dangerous threat to freedom in the world today . Suzianne will not murder me because I do not believe in her religion but a Muslim who believes that the Quran is to be followed literally could feel justified in committing murder in the name of allah .
I believe this literally .
