I recall listening to Michael Ramsden share this scripture out of Amos in the Old Testament.
"But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood..."
To paraphrase because I cannot quite remember the exact quote, when our cries for justice are motivated by hate, when we get justice it leaves a nasty taste in the mouths of everyone else, because after justice is done the hate remains. This is why love, grace, goodness, and righteousness should always be the motivation behind justice, once justice is done we are left with love, grace, goodness, and righteousness.
This world brings out of us what is inside, if we are prone to lust our words and actions will show it, if we are prone to hate our words and actions will show it. In Amos, he also wrote, "Seek good, and not evil, that you may live; and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you," as well as "Seek the Lord and live..." I think in these times we really do need to be praying for clean hearts, soft hearts not hearts of stone so that even in these trying times our motivations is not hate, but grace because we all have fallen short, none of us are righteous outside of Jesus Christ.

Well said.
@divegeester saidIf I may humbly suggest: Perhaps a little more time spent improving your chess skills and results, and a little less time spent posting and debating these numerous random topics might be a better course of action. 🙂
How time have you called me a “liar?
How many times will you still call me a “liar”?
When I’m NOT lying.
@mchill saidHow many times are you going to be telling people to focus on their chess while completely avoiding the topic of the thread.

Hey, isn’t it about time you ducked out of this thread because you have “pressing work matters to attend to”?
Hilarious. 😆

I made this suggestion exactly 2 times in the last year. Once to you, and once to 1 other. Please restrain your leaps of inaccuracy.
@mchill saidUntrue.

But never mind Mchill you just carry on posting off topic pompous irrelevancies.
Hey, maybe you should spend less time trying to improve your chess rating and focus on improving your evasive discussion?

Good plan. I'll make that my top priority. 😀
