@pb1022 saidRajk999 might describe himself as a follower of Jesus rather than a "Christian" because, as he sees it, following Jesus has been smothered under countless layers of ideology by centuries of corporate Christianity which he describes as "church teaching".
And the only “Christian” on here (and I honestly don’t think rajk999 is a Christian, nor do I think he would disagree with me on that) I see lambasting another Christian is rajk999 - until one of his targets gets sick of his abuse and returns fire.
@pb1022 saidSo you base your evaluation of someone solely on how they treat you?
<<He has never been insulting or obnoxious to me.>>

I replied in the spirit of the OP because the OP specifically mentioned the first person singular.
@fmf saidWell the problem with his position is he ignores most of the Holy Bible, including Jesus Christ’s own teachings, in an effort to support his false doctrine.

That’s why his most recent position is only what Jesus said to crowds of people matters - what He said to individuals or small groups doesn’t count.
His increasingly absurd position is all in support of his vanity and chest-puffing doctrine of “Look at me!”
@pb1022 saidI don’t sense vanity and chest-puffing with Rajk999. With you, yes. But not him.

I don't find his theology to be an "absurd position" at all. I don't subscribe to it, of course.
But it's clear and he has been consistent over the years. For him, following Jesus is underpinned by a code for living, a guide to walking the Christian walk, as explicitly commanded by Jesus, and in the wake of his sacrifice.
That's his position, more or less. It might be something you disagree with, but it certainly isn't "absurd".
@pb1022 saidNo, that isn't a problem with his position at all. His position is coherent. It's a problem for yours because it doesn't jive with a load of dogma and theology, invented after Jesus died, which you've tacitly or explicitly bought into.

@moonbus saidWrong, Mr. Moonbus.

Atheists like his false doctrine because Gid is nowhere in it.
@fmf saidIt is absurd, and you’re hardly qualified to offer an opinion on it since you were asking Christians only two days ago to explain to you what they believe.

And your prior, but nearly as recent, posts indicate quite clearly you have no understanding of Christianity.
@pb1022 saidYou, Rajk, FMF, and pretty much every other Christian, pseudo-Christian, wanna-be-Christian, and former-Christian (refugee or apostate, depending on how one looks at it) who posts here at SF each has his or her own opinion on what the true Christianity is. And you know what? THAT is Christianity. If any single interpretation had ever been successfully imposed on the religion, it would have appealed to too few people to have survived; it would have died out 1900 years ago along with Manichaeism and gnosticism and the Essenes and hundreds of other sects which didn't make it on the world stage.
Wrong, Mr. Moonbus.

Embrace diversity and adapt, or die out. That is the law of evolution, and it applies to religions as much as to species.
@pb1022 saidI have a good understanding of Christianity that I gained from 25 [or so] adult years of being a Christian.

Me, as an agnostic atheist, asking Christians about their stated beliefs is just part of the discourse.
It also provides plenty of detail about what I no longer believe and/or some of the reasons I am no longer a Christian
@pb1022 saidI don't think it is "absurd" and your constant references to what I happened to believe in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, are not quite the 'debating points/banter you think they are.

If Rajk999 is not corrected he's deemed more sensible in style and reasoning.
If Rajk999 is corrected then there is no interest in dogma, doctrine, theology, stuff
like that.
So the Christ denier / atheist coalition continues in strong alliance.
Quite a tag team againt the Gospel - "You hit em high and I hit em low."
@sonship saidIt’s ironic because rajk999 repeatedly breaks what Jesus Christ said were the two greatest commandments.

He mocks worshipping God, prayer, reading the Holy Bible and those who spread the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he expresses nothing but hate toward Christians.
@pb1022 saidThis is clearly not true.
rajk999 exclusively (and viciously) insults Christians on here.
