You've been lied to about God by people who don't know him. They have misrepresented the character of God, and have twisted the truth to support they're hateful doctrine.

You've been duped.
Are you talking about the people who wrote the bible?

Yeah, sure, the big loving father-creature wants the state to murder people who have committed horrible crimes. You suffer from the delusion that 'justice' and 'vengeance' are synonyms.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

It's a hard question to say the least. What does one do with a murderer? Does one show mercy or make them accountable to pay for their crime? What is your answer?

Are they better locked up for life, dead, or allowed to possibly continue? That is the question. In all fairness, however, I don't think they had our modern penatenturies as an alternative back in OT times.

How would we regulate such a thing? Parents will always try to indoctrinate their kids with what THEY believe, right or wrong. Children, especially young ones are unable to choose on their own. Perhaps we should outlaw church attendance until age 18?

It's perfectly reasonable to demolish an argument from the inside in the course of a reasoned debate.

Murders should be executed. It's called justice. Otherwise we may as well be anarchists.

Actually, I believe it's called "revenge".

Otherwise we may as well be anarchists.

This does not follow from the previous statement. We've got this thing called "prison", you know....

What?! He didn't destroy an entire city full of people, men, women, children, babies even? Or the firstborn, what'd they done?? I'd say those acts are pretty monstrous.

Violent tendances often are a manifestation of perturbations in brain chemistry. The same brain chemistry that the Christians "God" made. A Christian which preaches the death penalty is both immoral and a hypocrite.

They're dead anyway.

Honestly, I'd like them to know Jesus, but as long as they continue to murder innocent people, why should they be allowed to live?

Think it through why don't you? Do you have to be so anti-Christian that your head is fogged up about intolerance?
So you are essentially as intolerant as the people you are complaining about and would readily murder them if your God allowed it. The only real difference is that they have the courage to actually carry it out.
