I read this, from Suzianne, in another thread, and felt like this quote ought to be the official anthem of this forum:

"Not everyone's spirituality is based on Jesus or even God.

Consider these lyrics:

"You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometime you just might find
You get what you need"

We're all seekers. And if we seek long enough, and hard enough, yes, we get what we need.

And as hard as this is for you to comprehend, this is not the same for everybody.

Suzianne may mean well in what she said, but she's a Christian, and that means she believes Jesus is the only way to the Father, and to Heaven.

She can recommend to others to 'find their own way', but deep down she knows it's only for their earthly life, then likely straight to hell.

She ought to be spreading the 'good news' if she cared about others' salvation.

So what?

Your obtuseness and ignorance blinds you to the full meaning of the OP.

The OP message should have been given by someone NOT invested in Christianity, because it's ultimately suggesting that finding an alternative to Jesus and/or God is fine.

In essence, it's Suzianne's OP.

People are definitely free to be wrong.

But Suz sounds like she's literally saying there is no truth so just let ppl base their spirituality on whatever.

You don't think Suzianne should "let" people base their spirituality on things different than what she does? What do you suggest she do, then?

As a Christian, she should be spreading the 'good news' of the gospels. Anything else is leading people astray.

Not everyone gets their pseudo-spirituality out of book about St Penis of Antioch who lived in a tree eating ants and grasshoppers about 600 years ago.

Not in this instance.

How can Suzianne somehow not "let" people base their spirituality on things different than what she does? Surely people should "let" each other decide for themselves?

Suzianne has been spreading the 'good news' of the Gospels here for upwards of a decade and a half. On "this instance", on this forum with its eclectic mixture of believers of various stripes, unbelievers, and people with different takes on spirituality, has she upset you about something?

She's basically saying it's fine to worship Buddha if one so chooses. She's sending a mixed message. (As a Christian)
