The last two are probably just taking a Christmas break. I cut down my posting considerably during my Christmas holidays.

I am finding it harder with time to find interesting threads however. Most of the best topics have been covered already.

You demonstrate how some of us sometimes don't really know people very well even when we think we do.

Hello GB. Thank you for the thought. No serious illness or hospitalization for me; just have been busy with other things around the holiday season and thereafter.

Both SwissGambit and Penguin strike me as very intelligent, observant guys and terrific contributors; but I think only one has been missing from the forum as of late.

Concerning the handle SwissGambit, I would draw your attention to page 4 of Thread 157627. It is somewhat disconcerting that others would have to connect these dots for you. Hilariously and ironically, it is none other than Penguin who has the nerve to suggest to you on that very same page that perhaps you ignore and/or fail to pick up on things others say in threads you initiate and in which you participate. Zing!

Concerning Penguin, he had posted this on page 2 of Thread 160327 before going pretty much silent as of late: "btw, I am likely to be much less active on these forums in the future since I have reduced access at work (probably a good thing!) and of course a young family at home. Apologies if I fail to respond to people."

Do you also stand in front of the mirror in the dark and say "Bloody Mary" three times just for the lulz?

Watch what you ask for... you might get it.

"MIA" in warfare connotes the possibility of an untimely death. I happen to give a damn about these people as well as you.

You'd be better off demonstrating this through engaging people like the ones you listed with good grace and sincerity instead of merely blowing your own trumpet at intervals ~ with declarations like this ~ and thinking this indicates sincerity on your part. 😉

If you believe in a god or gods and don't know if it or they exist then you're an "agnostic theist".

If you don't believe in a god or gods and don't know if it or they exist then you're an "agnostic atheist".

In general I am an agnostic atheist, but I am a gnostic atheist with respect to some/many proposed gods....

But this tells you almost nothing about me as my atheism is a result of my beliefs and values and is not the
source of them.

It is a statement of the absence of belief based on blind irrational faith..." (eight reference site links follow)
