What about more debaters?

Every debater could forward his thesis at the first round and then defend it, at the second and final round.
So at the first round rwingett will claim that Jesus is Socialist, whodey and jaywill will claim that, ie, Jesus is the Son of God and at the same time a gifted Human but anyway not a Socialist, and no1 will claim that Jesus was just a freeloader; in such a case the second round would be spectacular😵

Alright, this topic has evidently failed to spark any wider interest. For better or for worse it looks like its between Jaywill and Whodey. You may decide amongst yourselves who will be my opponent. Once that is done then we can get down to the business of selecting the judges. I will caution you both that this is a debate and not an evangelizing mission. I ...[text shortened]... o do the appropriate research and that you refrain from completely wasting my time and effort.
=============================================
I would hope that you would address the arguments I intend to raise and refrain from unconnected proselytizing. You've already been given a few hints as to the type of arguments I'll be making. Much of it will depend on non-biblical sources. So I hope you use the time available to do the appropriate research and that you refrain from completely wasting my time and effort.

Alright! Alright! But can we pray for you ? LOL.

You cannot tamper with the kind of work that Jesus did which was primarily to save sinners.

If I make reference to Jesus' concern to save sinners more than to set up an economic system do not scream "Proselytizing. Proselytizing".

That is simply the nature of His mission. If that causes you to squirm in your chair you better find someone else to debate about.

Maybe we could coin a new word - "Prosylephobic"

Are you interested in being a judge?
I definitely would be interested, but I'm not sure how much work is expected. If you're short of judges, sign me in.

Unless Whodey says otherwise, I'm going to assume that he's out of the running and that you will be my opponent. The people who have expressed an interest in being a judge are:

LemonJello
Zahlanzi
Black Beetle
Trev33
Palynka

I have no problem with any of them. Do you wish to veto any of them?

In the public interest, I veto Palynka.

No. The judges are Okay with me.

I have to one day give an account to Jesus for every careless word I write or utter.

Alright, it's official then. "Was Jesus a socialist" is now underway. The judges for the debate will be LemonJello, Zahlanzi, Black Beetle, Trev33 and Palynka. I will have up to five days from now to make my opening argument. I'll try to bring it in at under five days, but I make no guarantees. Good luck to you, Jaywill. Judges, think impartial thoughts for the next two weeks.

Thanks.

Well, tell us something about it. I expect to learn something too.

I'm serious black beetle.

One of the strongest delusions that a human being can have is that his or her actions and words are not being recorded by God.

He doesn't forget anything. He saw me. He heard me.

Thank God there is an eraser. It is called the blood of Jesus. We can always ask for forgiveness and cleansing in Christ.

Do you realize that God could in one instant examine and judge a billion people simultaneously and review all of their entire lives.

LOL! We're talking about God. You know ....? "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."(Gen 1:1)

I know you are serious.

I smiled to you because I 'm sure that you will not be afraid at the valley of death; and because I know that you will stand fearless in front of your God thanks to your absolute sense of trust to Him, which it derives from your faith.
And I smiled to you also because I know that, once you stand fearless in front of your God, you stand fearless in front of every human being too;

To you and to rwingett I wish you Clear Mind for a fruitful debate.

I see. The older folks use to say "The only way to get the fear of man out of you is to get the fear of God into you."

Actually, from my study of the Bible I realize that even Paul had concern about meeting Christ to give an account to Him.

It is not all a matter of being forever lost or saved. You see, He can still perfect us and discipline us even if we have eternal redemption.
