@KellyJay saidSo..... I recently watched another video where the gentleman explained this is about 5 minutes. Thank goodness. Lol.

Thermodynamics and Origin of Life
A quote from the link from PHD. Brian Miller,
"No System without assistance ever moves both toward lower entropy and higher energy, which is required for the formation of a cell."
But neither of them really gave credit where credit is due and that would be to Jehovah God.
But we are human and we are of course very curious as to everything we see. In the book of Revelation it mentions the future quite often and it speaks of "New Scrolls" being opened from Jehovah to humans.
So maybe many questions we have about "everything" that concerns us will be shown in the future.......

@galveston75 saidYour ability to even watch that video wasn't down to God, it was down to the amazing species you belong to and it's amazing journey of evolution and survival, defying all the odds.

There is not an ounce of credit due to your God. Not an ounce. - Indeed, it's profoundly tragic you have no faith in the humanity that got you to where you are today and seek to give credit to a deity of your own imagining. (An imagination that is itself mortal, not divine).
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidWhat credit to humanity do you think is deserved given that video that you feel should be given?

@KellyJay saidI evolved as a human being with the ability not to watch your video. (Just as you evolved with the ability to post it).

No god required.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidQuite an assumption on your part, how do you figure?

@KellyJay saidThe whole idea of God Kelly is an assumption, and a false one at that. It's quite frankly shameful to your ancestors that you belittle their worth to your very existence and intellectual ability to fashion yourself a deity.
Quite an assumption on your part, how do you figure?
Without evolution you simply wouldn't be here. Period.
@KellyJay saidEven good scientists sometimes use sloppy language, and sloppy readers sometimes misread metaphors literally. The word "assistance" is poorly chosen to describe what is going on at the cellular level, because it is a metaphor which leads certain readers down the primrose path to the assumption that assistance implies an assistant, and an intelligent one at that. But this is a crude misunderstanding, an illegitimate anthropocentric projection.

What is required to form a cell is energy external to the cell formation process itself which can be absorbed by an endothermic process.
The external energy can be, for example, sunlight, which is converted by the process known as photosynthesis to life-facilitating 'ingredients' --"ingredients" is, of course, a metaphor; cell formation is not like baking a cake, which does indeed require an intelligent baker. Cakes don't just happen; cells did.
@moonbus saidBeing exposed to energy is not the issue; what is going on here is harnessing it into a machine so that it does precise work instead of leveling out. The bottom line is taking a lot of parts and turning them into something that can confine energy so that one thing is done and not another.

@KellyJay saidAs usual, the failure is in the incorrect premise.

@Suzianne saidYawn, you say something is incorrect, yet what was wrong? You cannot be bothered to say anything about that to justify the statement; why bother saying anything at all if you cannot at least engage in showing an error if you know one is real?

The failure in the premise is that, regarding the formation of a cell, the systems do not need to move both toward lower entropy and higher energy, it's already there.
@Suzianne saidThe trouble with your assessment is that when you say it is already there, you are simply acknowledging what life is. This is about how it got to where it is, which means we know it is there, but how did it get there without interference? That is not the natural way things work.

@KellyJay saidCells come from other cells, which already have lower entropy and higher energy.

I don't get where you're going with this.
