If (and that's a big if) Christians were not attempting to accomplish in the flesh what can only be done in the spirit, wanna-be leaders would be tried in the crucible of Bible doctrine, not on the playing field of personality.
Case in point, the Moral Majority of the 70's, among many other examples from our country's past. On the plus side, Christian activism has led to residual 'preferred' changes. Included here would be child labor laws and the abolishment of slavery. But the question remains, at what cost?
