3) Jesus loves me so much that he died for me.
Makes total sense.
According to the mouth of Jesus, He died for you and I that we might not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). God so loved that He gave His Son that believers in Him would not perish.
Salvation from the perishing is a manifestation of this great love of Christ.
The indication that to perish in is equivalent to what is referred to in verse 36 as abiding under the wrath of God.
"He who believes into the Son has eternal life; but he who disobeys the Son shall not see life, but the rather of God abides upon him." (v.36)
You speak about being kept alive.
What I see is just exist.
How can the wrath of God abide on anything or anyone who does not exist?
Apparently, there is an existence which is not being alive.
Is there anywhere in the Bible you might point to as an example of someone in existence yet dead ? Anyone?
