Not necessarily. It may simply be a statement of personal conviction. It is certainly no less reasonable than the claim "there is a God". Obviously whichever claim you make, if you want to convince others of your claim, you must follow it up with some sort of argument - unless of course they are your children in which case indoctrination works quite well.
