The Spirit is in all people.
We are all children of the spirit.
You are not getting that from the Bible.
1.)
In
Acts Peter said those who believed in Jesus would be given the Holy Spirit. If they already had the Spirit there was no need for them to receive Him.
"And Peter said to them, Repent and each one of you be baptized upon the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38)
2.)
The disciples were in the future to receive the Holy Spirit only
AFTER Jesus was glorified.
"But this He said concerning the Spirit, whom those who believed into Him were about to receive; for the Spirit as not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified." (John 7:39)
3.)
Paul said the Galatian believers received the Spirit by faith in the gospel. He didn't say they were born with the Holy Spirit as if all men come into the world with the Holy Spirit.
"This only I wish to learn from you, did you receive the Spirit out of the works of law or out of the hearing of faith" (Gal. 3:2)
4.)
There would have been no need for the Father to SEND the Spirit to the disciples IF coming into the world they were born with the Spirit.
"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may be with you forever,
Even the Spirit of reality, ..." (John 14:16,17a)
5.)
In fact Jesus said that the world at large CANNOT receive Him automatically just by being in the world.
" Even the Spirit of reality, whom the world cannot receive,
because it does not behold Him or know Him. but you know Him, because He abides with you and shall be in you." (John 14:17)
6.)
Those who do not have the Holy Spirit are not Christ's.
" ... Yet if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Him." (Rom. 8:9b)
