I would like to thank God for such a wise servant of God in the Gospel whose book I would like to discuss.
Her name is Mary E. McDonough. And the book she wrote is called God's Plan of Redemption.
It was written for Bible teachers. Here Mary McDonough writes on the uncreated life of God.
GOD - THE CREATOR
"In the beginning God created," Call attention to the fact that God, the Creator, was not created; therefore we may speak of Him as Uncreated, in His Uncreated existence before Creation. Lead them to see that He was as perfect, as complete before Creation as after, the His creative acts did not add to His uncreated perfection.
[ God's Plan of Redemption, Mary E. Mcdonough, LSM publishers, pg. 2]
Marvelous, don't you think?
Questions?
Serious discussion?
Thankfully this wise teacher emphasizes that it is impossible that the Uncreated Life - God would create such a universe with no purpose.
"In the beginning God created the heaven (or heavens) and the earth," i.e., the universe. Suggest the thought of the impossibility of God's creating the universe without a definite purpose concerning each atom of the same."
[God's Plan of Redemption, Mary E. McDonough, LSM, pg.3]
Mary E. McDnough is laying the ground work for speaking much about the plan. That is the Plan of God's redemption.
It is hard for me to imagine such a well working purposeful creation with no overall plan in the mind of its Creator.
Anyone suspect all things were made with a purpose in view ?
@sonship saidGods plan for the redemption of man as detailed by Jesus the Son of God, by Paul, by all the Apostles aint good enough for you. Gods word is not enough. You need Witness Lee and a whole tribe of writers to tell you what Jesus wants, and still you dont have it right.

What's wronmg with finding other confirming voices?
Don't you see yourself as coming here to (in your view) confirm what people can readily read in the Holy Bible?
Only YOU are allowed to give your support?
Others are not allowed to because all they need is the Bible?
Pretty proud and self centered of you.
Mary McDonough says something I agree with -
" - the fact that works of human hands is first carefully planned. Nothing worthwhile os fashioned apart from a plan- a pattern - a formula.
Enlarge upon the thought that God created the universe because He wished it created, and He created it as He wished it to be. (Read Rev. 4:11, last clause )
[quote] "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, for You have created all things, and because of Your will theuy were , and were created." (Rev. 4:11)
God created all things for His will.
You and I were created for His will.
Do you wonder WHY you are alive and what is your place in this vast universe?
I think it is good to start with Mary McDonough's realization of Rev. 4:11. ALL THINGS were created for the will of God.
The typical reaction might be "But there are bad things in the world. There are bad things in the universe."
I mean tornadoes, disease, sickness, killer meteorites. "You're saying God created these bad things because they are a part of all things."
true, The Apostle John knew in his days that there were bad things. He knew just as much as modern man knows. Yet the apostle John was emphatic that not ONE THING came into being apart from the Logos through Whom all things were created.
How could he say this?
"All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not one thing came into being which has come into being." (John 1:3)
But Apostle John, don't you know that you are therefore blaming a lot of bad things that exist on the Word, on the Logos ?
Some thought on this anyone ?
Oh, the irony.
I'm not the one implying that no one else can say anything - the Bible is all that needs to be heard.
Not to waste this space (you can turn off now) , I like this person's comment who succinctly summarized on the first verse of the Bible Genesis 1:1.
"That the first sentence is a simple, independent, all-conprehending axiom, to this effect: that matter, elementary or combined, aggregated only or organized, and dependent, sentient, and intellectual beings have not existed from eternity, either in self continuity or successuion, but had a beginning; that their beginning took place by the all-powerful will of one Being, the self-existent, independent, and infinite in all perfection; and that the date of that beginning is not made known."

Pretty proud and self centered of you.
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:12-14 KJV)
You take great pleasure in regurgitating over and over the basic first principles of the oracles of God. You are therefore an immature Christian focusing on the milk of the word. A mature Christian focuses on righteousness and doing good. Simply rehashing the same basics of the Bible from different writers is pointless and childish. But proceed if that is all your intellect can muster.
Here's an interesting observation. When Paul considers "all things" he does so in BOTH a beneficial aspect and an aspect of salvation FROM aspect.
This is a WIN-WIN situation for the Christian. Here we see Paul explaining how all things God saves us from and through AND how God causes all things to work together to for our benefit as believers.
This is incredible.
A. THE CHRISTIAN SAVED THROUGH ALL THINGS
"But in all things we more than conquer through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Rom. 8:37-39)
B. THE CHRISTIAN OWNS ALL THINGS FOR HER PROGRESS
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to the purpose." (Rom. 8:28)
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not also with Him freely give us all things?" (v.32)
"So then let no one baost in men; for all things are yours, Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's." (1 Cor. 3:21-23)
What tremendous engineering the Almighty God can do with all the circumstances and situations and people of our lives as Christians!
After Mary McDonough speaks of the uncreated Creator creating the universe she speaks of the order of beings in creation.
She starts with the angelic life. The Bible shows the angels singing when God is creating the earth so we know angels came first.
ANGELIC LIFE
" ... the first created beings - the angels. They are unembodied (not disembodied) personal beings - superior to known laws of matter. They may appear in bodily form as many passages of Scripture prove. (See Num. 22:23; 1 Chron. 21:15-16, 18, 20, 27, Acts 12:7-10.) They possess great power and might (2 Pet. 2:11). They "excel in strength" (Psa. 103:20). "
[ God's Plan of Redemption, Mary E. McDonough, LSM, pg.4 ]
Sister McDonough goes on to explain that there is rank among the angels. She explains why Paul speaks of "principalities, authorities, world-rulers," (Eph. 6:12) . She refers to Joseph Rotherham's Emphasized Bible.
In the Recovery Version the footnote explains that these first beings created by God are the "ELDERS" of creation seen in Revelation 4:4
"And around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the throne twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments, and golden crowns on their heads." (Rev. 4:4)
This scene of elders is of the most ancient beings God created. Satan came from this class of beings. These crowned beings were a part of God's government from the beginning of His creation.
From this class of elders came good angels and those who followed a rebel the Daystar - Lucifer who became the Devil and Satan.
His destiny after his rebellion is exhausted and failed to the uttermost is the eternal punishment.
