Would Adam and Eve have sinned without being prompted to by Satan?
Why did God allow Satan to tempt them?
What are your thoughts?

Maybe Eve was confused and got the wrong tree, and it was a big mistake rather than the sin of disobedience...

Originally posted by rwingettI don't think that Eve got the wrong tree. I think her choice was intentional. Do we have to known evil to have free will? I find it hard as a Christian to undersand why God created the tree of knowledge of good and evil, why he let Satan into the Garden of Eden, and why he cursed Adam and Eve when they failed. As a parent I would not leave my child in a room alone with a child molester.

Originally posted by sonhouseI have not made up my mind if some of the book of Genesis is a morality tale or if it actually took place. I started this thread to try to gain insight into things I don't understand. If I don't understand something I study it. I do not mock it.

Asking about Cain's wife is a good question where did she come from?
