That you have such a low opinion of his mothers religious beliefs ought to give you pause to reconsider what "Honor yoyr father and mother" means. In your eyes she has been dishonored.

My low opinion of his mother's beliefs come from his descriptions of what
she understands to be Roman Catholic theology. If RBHILL is telling the
truth about her (and I see no reason to think that he is lying), then neither
his or my statements are dishonorable, for she has done nothing worthy of
honor in the first place.
Of course, if you are saying that one should hold blindly the notion of honoring
one's parents despite anything they do (which would be a literalist opinion
consistent with the other literal things RBHILL believes), then I suppose we
simply disagree on this understanding of the Commandment.
