What does it take to get the Ghost to come out again?
Jehovah's Witnesses!
Has anyone, as an eyewitness, ever seen Father Jehovah?
Exodus 33:18-20
Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”
And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But,” he said, “you cannot see MY FACE, for no one may see me and live.”
"No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father." ---- John 6:46
John 6: 38-42
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” They said, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?”
Is not God Omnipresent? Therefore we must look for his Face on every street. Perhaps He will be disguised as one of those homeless faces on a busy intersection, holding up a sign which may say, "Hungry and out of work."

Perhaps you should mind your own affairs. I am confident God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost will appear at the proper time. 🙂

I maintain that, despite those parsing scripture and claiming that "no one" has seen the Father and lived, and Jesus himself saying (paraphrased) "You have seen me, how can you say no one has seen the Father?", many of us who look on "the least of my brothers" HAS seen the Father, and that, since we have been made in the image of God, we have ALL seen the Father. Many simply do not recognize Him.
@Suzianne saidThank you for considering this thread one of my best. However, the best is yet to come, if it comes at all.

According to Jesus' own words, if we can interpret them correctly, we haven't seen the face of the Father. What Jesus was attempting to convey is the state of mind. He and the Father are of one mind. The Father showed His only Begotten Son, Jesus, the "tricks" of His trade, and is the Teacher who also instructed him as to what he should say and do. In other words, by being one with the Father, Jesus is conveying an explanation as relating to something on the basis and nature of the relationship between the Master (Father) and disciple, Jesus, the son: "A disciple is not greater than his teacher, nor a slave greater than his master. It is enough for the disciple to become LIKE his teacher, and the slave LIKE his master." "For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father who sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak." "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me." Etc., Etc.
The essence present in the Teacher/Master (JUSTICE) is also present in the Disciple as the likeness to the Teacher. After all, as they say, the end justifies the means. The end is the Final Judgement, and the JUSTICE which will be dished out at that point in time, based on our own ways and means, which we ourselves will have dished out justice to others throughout our lives..
Writing an essay here would probably elevate this discussion to one of my best. Unfortunately, I'm not up to the task, nor am I currently inclined to attempt it.
The question is, should we resort to cherry-picking scripture? Instead of selecting verses that appeal to us, we should strive to understand all aspects which contribute to the overall narrative.
@PettyTalk saidNo.

While Jesus did speak in parables, or a variation on "let me tell you a story", much of what he said was literal. I assure you that he didn't spend his days thinking about how he was going to teach his disciples without being direct with them. Everything he said was clear to those with faith. People who twist his words, or claim that he meant this, or he meant that, are those without faith who didn't get it the first time.
He wasn't some ganja-smoking hippie spewing out funky, far-out zen koans. There's not really that much to interpret.

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?
Faith and clearness, literally? You are kidding, right?
Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."
Can you, with your faith, clearly understand how to move a mountain with words?

@PettyTalk saidThing is God speaks truth and we only occasionally recognize it, so we think the issue is with God, not us.
Once the Lord has pulled the wool over the sheep's eyes, who is able to lift it?

That God does not exist is the wool over the eyes of atheists.
The truth is that we are all sheep, and the last will be first, and the first last to have the wool removed.

@shavixmir saidYes, well, if I may, I would suggest that for you, an atheist (I assume), coming in here saying "it's all BS" is like some anarchist (or "koala raper" ) going into Debates and saying all the political discussion "is all BS".
Yeah, ‘cause it’s all crazy arse bull💩.
It's venting, is all. Not likely to change any minds.
