I have a friend who, whenever a religious matter is brought up at the coffeetable, always express his opinions about religious people, how they are deluded, how they lost their ability to think, etc etc. He is so boring... 😞
Once I had a christian friend who did exactly the same - whenever he had the chance he eplained the superiority of the the christian believers. He's not my friend anymore.
I call them both fundamentalists. Fundamentalists I cannot stand.

It means believing this, and this only.
#1 The virgin birth.
#2 The incarnation.
#3 The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
#4 Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
And some other essentials.
Fundamentalism doesn't mean one is holier than thou. Being a fundamentalist doesn't give one the right to judge others. It doesn't mean one is always right about everything. Being a fundamentalist doesn't make one immune to being an ass either.
Originally posted by heinzkatHave you noticed that Fanatical Christians talk to you as if you know nothing and they are delivering the divine truth to you. It appears they believe they are the only spiritual seekers in the universe and feel compelled to "educate" you. Of course this "education" involves having blind faith in a belief system which falls in upon itself when logic is applied.
