I'm discussing this today.

If it has been discussed before and that bothers you in some way, then feel free to simply ignore this thread.

Or, you can add to the discussion with a few thoughts on the subject. But if you've done that in the past, then once again, feel free to ignore this thread.
What are you "surprised" by exactly?

Yes I recall that thread 'Bye for now' . I took 7-8 weeks off.
Good thread that

Yep is the short answer

I think its very Zen . Perhaps a little too subtle?

Why do you think there is an instant when life begins?
Surely it is a gradual process.
A continuum.

Of course at the point of conception there is "life" but only at the same
level as a microbe. Gradually through gestation the embryo attains
higher "levels" of life, there is no single LIFE! moment.

The problem for theists is "When does the soul come into existence?"
Life is a dream

Yes, choice. Do you deny that men have freedom of choice in every, single aspect of their lives? So should women.

And yes, consequences come as a direct result of choices. This is as it should be. People on the far-right keep demanding that women "grow up", and yet then they try to deny them the sovereignity that is every adult's right.

And I will do it personally too.
- Child rapists
- Those who steal from the poor and needy
- murderers of parents for money or property ..paid killers
- liars in court that get right verdict overturned.

This is patently unfair.

You don't know these women or their circumstances, yet you would judge them by one aspect of their lives they may have had less-than-perfect control of. The RCC is against all forms of contraception, claiming that this circumvents "God's will". And that's only one example.

Many women are perfectly capable of running their own lives. How about if we leave them to it without the blanket condemnation?

Getting an unwanted pregnancy is a direct result of freedom of choice.

Is the baby given a choice when it is killed?

But it would make sense to me that life starts immediately in the womb, .
No need to prove you are not a doctor!

No need to prove you are not a doctor!
And no need to prove you have no idea what you’re talking about.

I really cldn't care what I sound like

Btw this is an example from life. A friend of mine tortured and killed a serial child rapist.

He served 8 years for his 'crime'
Were they in prison together or did he kill him when the rapist got out?

You forget to add “for eternity.”

You’re slipping, tiger. It’s one thing to be tortured. It’s quite another to be tortured for eternity.

Ya gotta paint the Big Guy in the worst possible light. Eternity, tiger. Eternity!

I’m sure whatever you imagine is the best answer will be fine with Karoly.
