Christians too often make the mistake of getting suckered into a debate and try to make their point using human logic....see it all the time here! You will NEVER, EVER win a sinner to Christ with human logic or arguments because God has ordained that people will be saved by the preaching of the cross. ALL we can do is preach Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected and let the Spirit do the work.🙂
You must forgive your brethren for being uneasy about checking their critical thinking skills at the church door.

So use your critical thinking on spiritual matters. What's the harm?

I had Jesus for a good many years. I discovered I didn't need him.

In Jesus' parable of the sower which one would you say describes you? Just curious.....

I've always liked this parable. It describes the christian's journey to enlightenment. First, your resolve and independence is tilled away, then some biblical manure is mixed in, and finally, the 'seed of truth' grows. 🙄

Wrong. But you've been shown that it's wrong over and over and over again, so I really don't expect you to get it this time, either.
Nope, I am right.
Jesus make it clear that rejecting him is a sin.
And so therefore it is a choice of one self to go to heaven or hell.

The bible also states that those in heaven can see those in hell, and do not feel pity for them or sorrow.
They'll be up there singing "Burn, baby, burn, Burn that mutha down!"

You could always claim salvation on grounds of insufficient reading comprehension skill, if nothing else.

If the parable accuses the unbeliever of intellectual impotence or confusion, what response would you expect other than derision?

I'm wondering how much interest does a saved person get and if it in the form of and extra body part.
