-Removed-Why do you think I am a coward?
Why do you think anyone thinks you are an enemy of God?
God knows who his enemies are. I certainly wouldn't dream of pronouncing anyone an enemy of God, but as I said before, anyone who is his enemy will know it deep in their heart.
Fortunately God is merciful and will extend that mercy to all who sincerely repent and turn to Him. He is the Father who will joyfully welcome home all who repent and come back to Him.
I don't know why you seem to be asking everyone if they think you're an enemy of God. Do you feel that, deep down? Are you drinking? Or are you just missing FMF and need him to hold your hand?
Whichever way, I'm going to leave you for now and hope you'll be feeling better tomorrow. Goodnight.
-Removed-You know I've read the thread. We've spoken within it.
You know we have no "recent PM exchange." I have no intention of PM'ing you.
I have never given you or anyone any indication that I think you are an enemy of God, though, looking again at your post, you have now insinuated that we have a "recent PM exchange" and that is a lie and a damnable lie at that.
Who is the Father of Lies? John 8:44
You appear to be set resolutely to prove to yourself and everyone else that you are an enemy of God, but it is out of your own mouth that you condemn yourself. Nobody needs to say it of you. You clearly think it of yourself.
NRS 1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
3 If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant
5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
6 it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth.
7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end.
9 For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part;
10 but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end.
11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known.
13 And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
-Removed-As I've already said, JosephW has done nothing wrong and has not said or intended what you attribute to him.
I have not claimed I don't know what the thread is about. I have, unfortunately, read all it's tedious length with incredulity at the degeneration of one man's reason: yours.
You summed it up best yourself when you jumped up and down squeaking "I'm here! I'm here! Look at me! Is your constant unspoken cry. Take notice of me! is your plea.
You have serious issues. Go and find a counsellor. You need one.
Originally posted by lemon limeI think you have your tongue in your cheek, surely. josephw's post on page 2 is counterattacking, forum-combat blather.
He explained it on page 2.
This is exactly what triggered the citing of James 4:4 ...
Thread 167360 pages 13-15
Grampy Bobby: You, Sir Seitse, .... Once upon a time you were an asset to this public forum.
wolfgang59: And so were you. ... scrub that.
divegeester: Ignore that, ...or post a copy/pasted platitude instead, you mean 😛
josephw: You pick the strangest bedfellows geester. James 4:4
FMF: Go on then, if its meaning is so plain, it should be easy for you to explain.
josephw: Sorry FMF that you don't understand what James 4:4 means. Study up on it and reread the post by divegeester and my reply to it. Then tell me what you think it means based on the context of the posts in question.
This is what needs to be explained. And, lest we forget, this happened on the General Forum.
I reread the post by divegeester and josephw's reply to it and I looked at the context of these posts and, maybe, if one were so inclined, or didn't find it funny, one could say it might be worth a thumbs down. But James 4:4?
The 'explanation' offered on page 2 on this thread is sheer nonsense. We're talking about the exchange above which happened on the General Forum.
Slandering a Christian? Parrotting the views of those self proclaimed detractors of God's Word? Impugning the character of a Christian? Enmity against God? wolfgang59 is an unbelieving counterpart? Joining in with an atheist to insult another Christian? Adulterous people? Maybe divegeester has a guilty conscience? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God?
Look at the exchange of posts that josephw was referring to ~ and which, by way of "explanation", he suggested I read again.
Surely this kind of angry, pompous, nonsensical, highly personalized point scoring on a message board is not a proper use to which to put the Bible?
