I don’t think faith is "god given". Are you pretending to have forgotten that I am a non-believer? As for my take on the impact of strong superstition and faith on free will, I think my OP describes it very vividly.

Well, a certain degree of self-absorbtion is a prerequisite for being motivated to participate in a debate and discussion forum and bandy about one's ideas and opinions, and to be tenacious about it, so yes. One doesn't need to "stop" to do so though.

Suzianne's deep and scornful paranoia and permanent and constant high dudgeon that seems utterly disconnected from the conversations going on here would appear to be a degree of self-absorption that she might do well to "stop" and reflect upon. I can't think of any regular contributor here who produces nearly as many angry off-topic posts as she does.

I said it because she is inconsistent and seems to object to things for interpersonal reasons that are not rooted in principle.

I said I can't think of any regular contributor here who produces nearly as many angry off-topic posts as Suzianne does. That's the only mention of "regular posters" I made. Of course I am a regular poster. But none of my posts are "angry", and 90% of them are on-topic. She cannot claim these things about her own posts.
