Is God 'Mercy, Pity, Peace and Love' as Blake wrote? Or do you have perhaps a different conception of God – do you picture a person you love or have loved and lost, or is your God even a violent God, or flawed in other ways?
The question, imo, should be, "Who is God to you?"
My answer; Who God says He is.

The reality of God is often experienced through a sense of spiritual companionship during times of trouble.
God should be experienced in and out of trouble. When He comes into a man's human spirit to be "one spirit" with him, it is His desire that we walk in Him.
Coming to Him in time of tribulation is understandable. And He is faithful.
But we need to live in Him whether we are abased or abound in our circumstances.
If God can gain a critical mass of human beings living in Him in this way, we will bring the Lord Jesus back physically to this earth.

Gods people are all those that fear him and work righteousness.

An atheist that declares a belief in no God and who lives by the law of love written in their hearts is going to find more favour with God than a professed Christian who does not live by the law of Christ.
And you asked me this question a few months ago 🙂
